What is the best time of year to replace your roof?

In Northern California, the best time to replace your roofing depends on several factors. Generally, the ideal time is during the dry season, which typically occurs in late spring, summer, and early fall.

Since we are in summer now, it’s a great time as we have stable weather conditions with minimal rainfall, making it optimal for roofing projects. Here in Sacramento it hardly ever rains in the summer.

Now is a great time to replace your roof or even make repairs if that is what is needed.

Speaking of repairs, here at Jahn’s we take pride in being honest. Many times we find that a repair is what is needed not an entire roof replacement and we are honest about it.

Before planning your roofing project, it’s advisable to consult with local roofing professionals who are familiar with the climate and specific considerations of your area. If you have a home in Lake Tahoe perhaps, it’s wise to consult contractors that do work in that area often as it snows there.  Additionally, keep in mind any homeowner association rules or permit requirements that may affect the timing of your project.
